Final (Very Exciting) Numbers

Sunday Team PhotoIt has now been almost two weeks since the glorious Flying Pig Marathon weekend and the numbers are in. With almost 60 runners on our team, we were able to raise nearly $3000 for our seminarians this year for a grand total of $23000 over the past three years! Thank you so much for your generosity, your sacrifice and your prayers!

In addition to that, thanks to your prayers and the increased awareness for the need to discern and chase after our vocation, the number of seminarians studying for the Archdiocese starting in the Fall will be 54! That is more than this Archdiocese has seen in at least three decades!

Additionally, the Athenaeum/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West has announced that, if all anticipated candidates arrive this Fall, its building will be filled to capacity!!That is, there will be a total of 68 seminarians preparing to be priests for numerous diocese across the nation! While it is certainly true that we cannot attribute this increase to the Run for the Call cause, nor to any of our efforts, really, the Lord is hearing our prayers and more young men are opening their hearts to God’s will for their lives. May we all be so bold in following our vocations!

If you have not had the opportunity to donate to our cause, we will be accepting donations for this year’s fund through May 31. With your help we would love to reach a goal of $5000. Please prayerfully consider supporting our seminarians in this way.
