Let the Fun Begin!

let it beginMonths of training and planning and organizing and communicating are finally at their end and the fun is about to begin! Today marks the start of Flying Pig Weekend filled with all the excitement and positive energy that only a Marathon weekend can generate!
All weather predictions are pointing to one of the most perfect Flying Pig weekends in many years with highs in the upper 60s-lower 70s and sunshine, you couldn’t ask for better running weather. And for spectators iweekend weathert will be great to be able just to wear a light jacket and not have to carry around that awkward umbrella we’ve been so accustomed to over the past 4 years!

joyful witnessFor the Run for the Call team, this weekend marks an even more exciting time. Not only do we get to join in the fun of the entire weekend, but also we get to witness to the joy of being disciples of Jesus Christ who are ready and willing to do His will. We get to witness to the awesome privilege it is to know that we are all children of God, called by God to a life of greatness! Because that is what it means to chase our vocation; when we chase our vocation we are striving for Greatness, for Holiness, for Sainthood! And we do this all this weekend knowing we have the support of so many of our friends and family who are at home praying for our cause.

So, yes, let the fun begin and may our witness truly touch the lives of many of the thousands of men and women whom we meet along the way! And may our efforts truly be felt by the seminarians whom we support directly!
