Here we go again: Announcing the 2013 Run for the Call Team!

It is November 13, 2012 and I am proud and excited to announce the formation of our 2013 Flying Pig Marathon Run for the Call team! This year’s race weekend is Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, 2013.

Last year, as you all may already know was a huge success as we saw 90 runners over the course of the weekend help us to raise over $9000 for our seminarians! This year we have a much larger goal. Because of the availability of a number of new summer experiences that will help our young men discern more fully their call to the priesthood and commit themselves more readily to the call God has placed on their hearts, we have vaulted our fundraising goal to $35,000!

In order to reach such a lofty goal, we will be relying on the continued prayers and support of all who felt called to help us last year. Additionally, we are calling for all our supporters from last year to spread the word and start recruiting today at least 3 more people to either join our running team or our prayer team. The success of this effort depends on the commitment of both of these groups!

Finally, as was the case last year, we have applied to become a partner charity with the Flying Pig Marathon and a Piggest Raffle Ever Charity. With these two opportunities comes the opportunity to get a reduced registration rate for all team members who run in any of the weekend races (except the Flying Piglet races) and the chance to earn extra money for our seminarians.

So, spread the word, and make a commitment today to Run for the Call.

We all have a vocation, chase after yours!
