The Team is Set and What a Team it is!

When the idea popped in my head of putting together a team to run in the Flying Pig Marathon weekend and help raise awareness about vocations and funds for seminarians, I thought that we could possibly get 20 members on the team and it would be a struggle to reach that. However, God had other ideas and through prayer and a bunch of people being open to God’s grace, today I can happily report that, just one week after posting on Facebook that we were one shy of 70 runners,we have a team that is 87 MEMBERS STRONG!

Coming from all different regions of the Archdiocese to participate, these runners span the age spectrum as well! The youngest of our runners will be just 2 years old! Six of our team members are seminarians, two of our team members are expecting the arrival of their next child and every one of them has dedicated themselves to promoting a culture of vocations within this Archdiocese. It is a culture that emphasizes the need to actively seek what the Lord has in store for us in this life. On May 5th and 6th, I will be surrounded by an amazing group of more than 80 people whose primary focus is the will of God in our lives!  Wow! This is yet another reason to have great hope for the future of this Archdiocese!
